    Max Trailering Package Blues

2027 Configurator not on Web Site yet, but Looks like you can add it for 2026 but requires Premium Trailering Package + Sun Power & Step Package + Premium Capability Package with Active Response 4WD. This is only way to get w/ out SuperCruise that i can see

    6.2 Engine Replacement

As much as I loved that platform, here in MN, that answer is a non starter. Last GMT 800 was built in 2006. You cannot find one in the salt using states, they have all turned to Iron Oxide by now…

    6.2 Engine Replacement

They are not rushing, a few things happening: 1) they have replaced enough that their remanufacturer has a steady supply of rebuilds available. 2). Sierra and Silverado production is coming to a close (or is already closed) and is switching over to the 2027 models, which no longer offer the 6.2.

Things that make you go ???

Yes, I "accidentally" activated the kick to close once...thats when I turned it off...kick to open, perfect...I'd rather hit the button to close.

    2021+ Transmission Service

Checked the records today. It was $749.95+tax and shop supplies at my GMC Dealership for Drop Pan, replace filter, replace fluid, replace pan gasket. (It was the 4WD Service that was $445: Front and Rear Diff, plus transfer case fluid exchanges)

Things that make you go ???

It’s interesting for whatever reason I never feel like I need the kick to open when I’m unloading the truck maybe it’s just because most of the time I unloaded at home

Things that make you go ???

You can personalize the settings on the kick to open/close rear. I have mine to kick to open, but not to close...Logic: Hands usually not full when closing the hatch, vs opening it.

    2021+ Transmission Service

Did mine at 42000, drop pan, change filter, replace pan gasket and refill. Feel like it was $425 all in. Can’t recall, did front and rear diff and xfer case at same service, plus oil and filter.

2026 Tahoe with 6.2, im all good?

Seems like it, or at least is an imperfect analysis tool

2026 Tahoe with 6.2, im all good?

Nope. My 2022 never burned a drop, passed the pico test at 37,800. Rod bearings gave way at 44,755.

    Air Suspension v. Longer Wheelbase

Entry/exit height makes a huge difference w/ getting older folks in. Use it often when visiting my family. Won’t have that w/ our Air.

    Air Suspension v. Longer Wheelbase

Do you have any reason beyond comfort to want the Air? Do you tow or haul often?

    Air Suspension v. Longer Wheelbase

I honestly don't think the air suspension affects ride quality near as much as the magnetic ride control, esp when unladen. I have both...so hard for me to say for sure. I do think Air Suspension helps quite a bit when towing, or you load the truck up. It keeps you level, so it improves...
