09 Tahoe - One day runs great, others no so much - SOLVED!
I use K&N filters and never had any problems. The key is to not over-oil them. When I service my filter I wash them in soapy water and after oiling the filter it usually sits about 2 weeks on some newspaper in the garage before I get around to reinstalling it. Gas smell from drivers side
I replaced mine last summer as well. 77k miles and it rusted out at the supply line. When I replaced it, I had to replace the feed line because the seal inside (plastic collar came out of line, stuck on corroded fuel outlet) was trashed. I used an electrical epoxy found at the local parts store. Much cheaper at either $7 or $12 and it was a permanent fix on the 05 I owned previously.- Wake

Extended warranty on car out of warranty?
I think the resemblance is coincidental now. Ford sold Jag and RR quite awhile ago to an Indian owner, Tata. Might be more to do with some design engineers from RR going over to Ford than actually a RR influence.- Wake

2" Leveling Kit Installation
One thing to add that I didn't see here is that the drive characteristics will change if your vehicle has the active suspension Z55/Z95. On my Escalade I added the 1.5" spacer and the ride went to crap, very harsh. Going over small dropoffs and the front tires would squeak as they lost contact... -

It's a PITA to change ball joints, new LCAs would be the quick and easy route. As for the bushings, I've never seen the bushings in the LCAs go bad, even with high miles. The UCAs are a different story, they are usually shot before 100K miles. I've seen 200K mile LCAs though where the bushing...- Wake

autoride - new compressor, now what?
Your rear shocks are shot or you have a leak in the air lines. The pump runs 15 seconds max shortly after starting the vehicle, even when it doesn't need it. Update: Hard start after sitting 2-3hrs.
The only time I ever experienced your situation was an 80s vehicle with leaky fuel injectors, they made hot starting hard. Cold start was easy because the fuel evaporated over time, but hot start was difficult. Next time you try to hot start it put the pedal to the floor while cranking to allow...- Wake

Wheels and Tires for the Hoeslab
Check your spare. If it is a 16" then you can run a 16" wheel. GM cheaped out and put a 16" spare in our vehicles for most applications even when the base wheel was a 17". -
Bought a 2002 Yukon XL K2500 8.1 liter 4x4
I think I'm just going to keep an eye on ebay and in the meantime use an iron-on patch on the bottom-side and stitch the rip together from the top. My truck will probably only see 2000 miles a year or less so I'm not too concerned about making it pristine.- Wake
