Well bad news she's toast there is pump whine coming from the trans. Even after draining the fluid from the torque convertor the fluid went right back to black. I guess we will be selling jt after all. It hurts to sell my dream vehicle.- thingraylinetahoe

Well I got the stepson out there working on it now. It's still shifting fine but now there is what sounds like a power steering pump whine when it's in gear. But I do have a leaky power steering pump that hasn't been gotten to yet. It was making a whining noise very similar in sound to that...- thingraylinetahoe

So I went out this morning to check the transmission fluid myself and on neither my hand or the rag did I have any metal shavings that I could see. The fluid does smell burned but it's not black it's more of a brownish black. The trans is still shifting okay and I figure I got nothing to lose...- thingraylinetahoe

Gas smell 2022 Tahoe inside the cabin.
I had this happen on a 2015 suburban I bought and it wound up costing 1400 for a new tank, straps, bolts, and fuel pump as the top of the fuel pump and tank had become so corroded that it wouldn't allow much gas to go in and what it did allow it leaked it back out and smelled in the cabin.- thingraylinetahoe

Thin gray line tahoe build
Right now I've got a power steering leak. I've got all the seals and fluid to replace them. It's just a matter of my stepson finding time to do it between his busy job and the grandson activities. I am thinking I may put dual Flowmaster 10 series on it but I haven't decided yet.- thingraylinetahoe
