Black Bear tuning Question
Mine is also an 07 with nearly identical mileage, and I see the same average MPG. Keep in mind that the 07-08 trucks still have the old 4 speed 4L60E transmission, whereas the 09+ trucks get the 6 speed 6L80E. Two extra gears means a taller cruising ratio in 5th and 6th gear, and higher MPG...- TheFuzz

muffler questions
If you want a somewhat quiet exhaust, a super 40 flowmaster is not the way to go. A 50 series would be a better choice. The MagnaFlow 12579 is also a popular muffler option here. Very quiet until you get on it. I'll be getting one soon. Search YouTube for sound clips.- TheFuzz

Yes and no. For the most part, improving fuel mileage on these trucks is a moot point. Tahoe Small Push Bumper
Looks like possibly an older Setina PB300 or PB400. We had two different heights on our Expeditions, I remember they screwed up and put one that was too low on one of our new vehicles and it completely blocked the grille lights. They ended up just moving the lights higher up. -

Word. Thanks guys. I think I'll leave it as-is until the chrome gets torn up, then deal with it as necessary. I recorded a quick video earlier today that went over the process and compares the OEM grille with the replacement. I'll add it to the original post. -

Traction control/stabilitrak off issue
The ethanol percentage reset solved my issues. They haven't returned at all in the two months or so since I did the reset. TPS issues, while crappy, are an entirely different problem. Glad you got it fixed for free though, that's always nice. :pepper:- TheFuzz

Looking at 2007 LT Tahoe...
Holy crap dude...that's wicked. Yeah, trim up the bumper a bit to clean it up and you should be good. The tip will clean up fine with a little elbow grease. Surprised that it melted like that if there was already a 1/4" gap there.- TheFuzz

Yeah, that's horseshit man. I'd definitely let GM know. I've seen service advisers take one issue as reported by a technician, and then use that as the basis for coming up with all kinds of additional crap to eek more money out of you. Oil change/coolant flush = loose tie rod + alignment = black...- TheFuzz

Oil Leak Around Valve Covers
Valve cover gaskets are seeping a little. Doubt it's PCV related if it's doing it on both sides. Unless they are really leaking badly (which yours don't appear to be) I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you want to rip everything apart to replace them. Just keep an eye on it.- TheFuzz

I have run HID kits in several of my vehicles with decent results, but not the Tahoe. The stock housings on the GMT900 tahoes have "decent" cutoff with HID kits...but far from ideal. They are perfect candidates for a projector retrofit though, lots of options and tons of people have done them so...
