Bought 2024 Yukon SLT - coming from my 2017 Tahoe LT - WOW the difference
The Yukon feels like a rolling bank vault, and with the luxury package in the SLT, is worlds apart from the 2017 Tahoe. 2025 2wd in sport mode, just seems quicker. To be fair, the Denali 6.2 has some detonation - mild but it was there - so the dealer may have filled it with 87 octane, almost certainly, because it was pinging under load So based on how how much better my personal 5.3 runs on E85, it could very...- TahoeFL2017

2023 Denali - looking to buy - what should I watch for at 42k miles?
I have a 2025 2wd Tahoe 5.3 rental with 30k miles - because my Tahoe got hit my a cyclist ( senior citizen on an E-Trike rammed my door - only in Florida!) Anyone else underwhelmed after coming from a 5.3 to a 6.2? I felt a difference but not enough to care - I'll probably get arguments here but i could barely tell Just drove 5.3 in a 2023 last week, and for a little less power, I'm leaning towards the 5.3 now.- TahoeFL2017

Not an XL, has 42k on the engine so that makes me feel somewhat confident. Are all the 6.2's running heavier oil, or just the affected ones? I have heard about the issue, but not scared of it unless there's definitely issues with ALL of them - anyone wanna chime in?- TahoeFL2017

Not much on cars.com, everything over 60k so it looks like the 2023 LT is the play. The 2023 will be in the 40's so it'll get paid off in a year or less - sounds good unless a steal on a new one came up.- TahoeFL2017

I'm looking at a used 2023 but wondering if year-end will bring any blowout sales of the 2025's? I'm looking at a 2023 LT for 44k, but see it was 64k new - would a 2025 be anywhere near this price? 6L80 Heat Related Symptoms
I had my shop take out the non-OEM thermal bypass and install a new OEM unit, now in FL heat 94 degrees it takes a solid effort of me intentionally driving hard, for it to get up over 180 So the lesson is don't buy knock off crap from the internet - the non OEM worked since November, then...- TahoeFL2017

I'm starting to think the t-stat was either installed wrong, or is sticking, and I just didn't see high temps until it got hot recently. It gets hot very slowly steadily, as if the fluid is just staying in the trans and never getting to the cooler. It takes 30 minutes of driving in 80+ degrees...- TahoeFL2017

I'll give it a run this weekend and post here. Today, 30 minutes of stop and go outside temp 80, I could not get it above 180, and I rode it HARD So the last time it was hitting 240's, I parked on a hill, had dinner, and it shot to 240 immediately - so not sure if the parking on a hill maters...- TahoeFL2017

I put the thermal bypass on about 5 months ago, so this is the first time in warmer weather. WTF do you think is causing 240 degrees now? Radiator issues maybe?
