    Just picked up my 2022 Tahoe from dealer . New motor. 22K miles. I’m led to believe my new motor is from the US factory and not Mexico ( Crank/bearings) I hope so. Wouldn’t make much sense for GM to give me another of the same problematic engine.

    I think NO , unless they changed something in the design between 2023 and 2025. I have a Z71 and good friend a RST. He went to Chevy dealer to get the red hooks because he was jealous of mine. The tried and then said no go.

    Yukon AT4 vs. Tahoe Z71

    Edit: available on 2025’s and newer: You do know the Tahoe Z71 does not have Adaptive Cruise control due to the skid plate front end. Not sure about the AT4. I like and miss it on longer drives. Never understood Chevy not offering cooled seats on Z71.

    My engine is out. Saw it today when I changed out to a different loaner. The new motor going in next week . ADon’t love seeing there front end of my Tahoe taken apart. I should have snapped a picture but didn’t think of it.

    Got a call from my dealership today. My new replacements engine arrived. Two weeks! I am amazed. He said they will need a couple of weeks and will call. Much sooner than I expected.

    Well….I’m in the shop getting a new 6.2 engine, so I am automatically getting a 10yr 150K on the engine ( might be 15yr) Not sure I would bother paying for an extended warranty, now, for other issues. May as well take my chances on other parts failures.

    OP bought already so will just add this. I have air/mag in my 22 Z71, and my good friend has standard suspension in his 23 RST. His rides fantastic and if you don’t compare them side by side ( so to speak) I don’t think you will miss not having the mag ride. Personally…I love it. My Vette has it...

    6.2 Engine Replacement

    These thoughts circle me back to the resale value ( depreciation) making it very costly to sell or trade and move on. I’m close to retiring and don’t want to take on a new 30-40K cost ( 40K trade in value on a new(er) 70-80K SUV. Would not be another GM product.
