I just had my windshield replaced and happened to encounter some rain for the first time in months. Thanks for the response, James. Battery is new and the problem existed with the previous battery. I have checked for difference in potential with the engine running with a DVM between the negative post of the battery and chassis and there is none.- Reggie Holland

Having the same issue, but have to pull over kill the engine, open the door to turn off the accy timer and crank back up. Then it will usually work. When it doesn't work, it is from crank up. Have replaced the brake switch with Delco part. Symptoms did not change with brake switch change...- Reggie Holland
