2022 Yukon Denali - delayed L87 engine recall

I have a 2024 HIGH COUNTRY Tahoe. I too have received the letter but have not been given any additional advice on what to do. I go to my GM owners web site and all I can see is 'unresolved' which I guess means "They ain't knowing what to do with me yet". So I just keep driving it to Illinois...

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

I just got my letter too. I am confused tho. How is it some folks are getting inspections done? Was/Is their letter than what we got? The letter does seem to imply that I am NOT To Bother the dealership until I get the second letter???? So, Next week I am supposed to do a 500 mile trip to...

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

Who is to say that it won't develop a problem at 30K or 40K or........ I've read where some folks were doing fine and then out of nowhere so to speak the engine goes bad.

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

I just called the dealership I bought my 24 6.2L from and they are telling me there is no remedy yet....for my vehicle?? I see some of y'all got a letter but I have not. The dealership says they cannot help me until I get a letter? My build date is May of 24 so maybe I'm on the borderline as...

    anyone received a letter yet?

Supposedly GM has sent out letters to us 6.2L folks? Has anyone received one yet?

1-800-462-8782 number to call GM and what a waste

I know that there is a BIG discussion about the 6.2L recall. But I thought I would make this entry a separate item. I think the dealerships are getting frustrated with all the calls they are getting concerning the recall. The last dealership I called to try to see if there was any update to...

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

I appreciate the responses. I looked at the phone app and in the 'help' and sure enough the recall notice is there. In it it does say 'repair and/or fix'. My build is May 2024 so the engine would be earlier. I definitely am included.

BREAKING: GM is officially recalling the L87

I hope my contribution/questions don't get lost in this. We are on page 39 of this post and I am afraid some of the knowledgeable folks have tired of this. But here is my question(s) 1. I have the Chevrolet app on my phone and it tells me my 24 Tahoe is fine. It states 'Everything looks good'...

Thinking of selling my new 6.2L Denali...

Admittedly I was getting a bit anxious about the news concerning the engine. My Tahoe is only 4 months old, so to speak. It has 9,000+ miles on it now and I am getting ready to take a long trip. Supposedly the oil range can be up to 7,500 miles between oil changes but the dealer wanted to...

Adaptive Cruise and radio software upgrade

I agree with what Klinebau is saying. That's the way it works on my 2024. One odd thing I have experienced ........ The Adaptive Cruise will disengage? It tells me that on the screen. I can of course reengage it but why it disengages on it's own baffles me. It has only done it twice ..... so...

Question from a first time buyer - Tahoe or Yukon advantages/disadvantages

Hello, I just purchased a Tahoe 'High Country'. Has most of the 'bells and whistles'. I like the 'auto' running boards. A lot of 'digital' electronic stuff that I haven't learned the half of it. I will admit though I am disappointed about some of the 'hype' they talked about is not really...

    Does a 2024 Z51 with 6.2 require premium fuel?

I am somewhat hesitant to contribute here for fear of maybe not knowing what I am really talking about. I just purchased new a 2024 Tahoe 'High Country'. My ignorance is going to say I'm not sure what 'gas' engine I have but I will assume it's not the 6.2 being debated here? But I am going to...

Short person driver having a problem......remedy?

I appreciate 'most' of the replies. I too would be curious as to if there is such a thing as "OE" pedal adaptor. I do find the person who figured how to do their own adaptation interesting too. Also the person who inquired "Did she drive it before buying". She did sit and adjust the seat and...

Short person driver having a problem......remedy?

I guess you are attempting to be funny. But I am being serious. There is some danger positioning oneself too close the steering wheel where the air bag deploys. But since you are the only one responding I guess no one else has this situation.

Short person driver having a problem......remedy?

My 'short' wife is having a small problem with our just purchased 2024 Tahoe. We have had Suburban's and Tahoe in the past and so did not think there would be one now. Admittedly our previous vehicle, Expedition, had adjustable 'pedals'. Again didn't think about having a problem. She is...
