See my frustration. Plugs, injectors are brand new. Compression test is hopefully getting done Tuesday. I think my coils r bad. I only had a cyl 7 misfire till I moved that coil then it turned into a multicyl misfire
Ok so time for an update. Timing gear actually slipped so that's why the timing was off. But everything was back Together, again, fired right up with a p0307 code. So I swapped plugs still misfire cylinder 7. Swapped coils and I now have a p0300. Running rough as hell but no ticking or lifter...
Got it all back together, but gotta take the timing cover back off and reset the timing. I was tired as hell when it went back together and must of been slightly off.
No clue but that was the first thing I saw after looking at the big piece missing. In person you can see that the metal is thicker on 1 side and thinner on the other. I'll see if I can get a better picture of it
Well here's the cam. I need someone honest opinion if this looks like a new cam or a used cam. For it being brand new I feels like there to much wear on it already. You can definitely see where the lifter was torn up. But the rest of it just doesn't look right to me
Definitely going it alone. It's not that I couldn't or didn't know what I was doing, I rebuilt this engine about a year, year and a half ago, just short on the time to get it done quickly. Thought by having him do it, it would of been done alot quicker and correctly all around. Bit not the case...
No not blaming him for the lifter failure. Just in general of spending a grand on me without me even knowing what he was doing that's what pissed me off mostly
Well couldn't find anything else to go with so said the hell with it and ripped the top back apart. Found this wonderful little guy all the way in the back on the driverside. Brand new freaking parts, just grenaded itself. Can't find the chunks that are missing. Hope there in the bottom of the...
Ok so I swapped coils, cleaned plugs and still had the same issue with cylinders 1,2,3. Pretty sure my injectors on those cylinders are bad. Plugs were soaked in fuel. And disabling those injectors didn't matter to the engine running. They have power going to them as I can pulse them with the...
The scanner I borrowed from my son allowed me to disable each injector 1 by 1. Cylinder 1,3 and 2 made little to no difference when disabled. I pulled the plugs in those 3 and 1 and 3 were soaked. 2 wasn't as bad. So gonna swap coils to see if that helps those 3 and messes up the ones they were...
Thank you, I was actually going to go this route just for the sake of it. This is the entire reason I don't like anyone else touching my vehicles. Cause now I'm stuck with a widely tore open can of worms. Oo just found out also his boss was doing stuff with the scanner also after I had left the...
