Many cold air kits do this and the only answer unless there is a problem like a leak is retune it for the mod. The idle and MAF calibration is no longer correct since the upgraded air filter has changed how much the air is actually flowing. Feel free to give us a call if you need any help.

I wouldn't do that in a big truck like your Tahoe. You'll be throwing away 50-75 ft pounds of torque down low and almost all the power you gain is at 6000+ rpm.
