Haven't adjusted the valves or replaced the spider yet, or for that matter anything that requires removing valve covers or the intake manifold. I haven't noticed any vacuum leaks but I've not actively looked, where are they typically on the 5.7?- McDermut

CV Boot Ripped - What Now?
Quick question, are there different axle shaft lengths that I should check before ordering? I checked the axle that's currently on my vehicle and from each metal band securing the interior side of each boot to the other the metal shaft is about 4 inches as best as I could measure. Just... -

I'm not sure, I don't have any accessories or such installed, and the bulbs are stock halogens that I haven't ever messed with. The fuse may have just been old. -

It does, and after reading through the comments and doing some research I'll just pay to replace the CV axle. Since I'm away from home and the necessary tools the cost of labor to just replace the boot instead of the entire thing definitely isn't cost-effective.
