Another transmission problem...I think
Yes, whenever the engine is on. Sorry I have taken so long to reply, I've taken the tranny out tho and saw not busted bolts or ground metal so I think it might just be the TC went out. Thats what I'm hoping anyways, since i have it out I'm gonna replace it with the 3000 stall Trailblazer TC...- Kon99

Another transmission problem...I think
So tonight on my way home, I turned into an empty parking lot to turn around. I reckon I was going a little fast (10-15ish at steering lock) and all of a sudden I hear the all to familiar noise of something rubbing in the tranny area VERY loudly. I am unfortunately very familiar with this sound...- Kon99

Rear axel swap
Sorry to butt in guys, but I have a 2WD with a 10 bolt and was thinking about a rear end swap to something, but had no idea they made 5 lug 14 bolts. How uncommon are these axels and how cloesly are they to the 2WD because I assume they only came on 4WD trucks. Another good question is where in...- Kon99

Can I put 400 heads on vortec 350?
Thanks for your opinion guys, I'm gonna do what you said ie. port and polish, 3 angle valve job, resurface, and replace all bushings, and add some roller rockers or something maybe some different/new lifters too while I'm in there lol- Kon99

Can I put 400 heads on vortec 350?
I've been searching around for an answer to my question but can only seem to find info on old engines. From what I have read and researched it is a plug and play. I was wondering if it were any different for the Vortec 5.7s. Also if its a good idea at all because i need to get my heads machined...- Kon99

Mileage dropping steadily
Telling the PCM that the engine has something it does not is a bad idea, so intall your CAI and if your mileage is still dropping come back on here. Let us know what happens, also your o2 sensos could not have gone bad yet unless the wiring is loose which would give an explanation for those...- Kon99

IMPORTANT* If you have iridium spark plugs make sure they are gaped at .040 for this engine, the correct "platinum" tipped ones are gaped at .060, also did you check to see the condition of the spark plugs either? When you replaced the cap and rotor, did you replace the distributor shaft as well? That is also a possibility.- Kon99

They only other thing I can think of that hasn't been mentioned or replaced is the pump. Could be that, or maybe somethings wrong with fuel lines?- Kon99
