Changing rotted backing plates/dust shields
I just did this on my wifes 03. Did it laying on my back and it was pretty straight forward. The biggest problem I had was getting the diff cover to seal. Took 3 tries and I was pretty PO'd. Diff has a tapper to it on the sealing surface which is different from any other rear end I have ever... -

does my mpg seem right
I would be interested to know if you guys are just using you computer to tell you the mileage, or if you are doing the math. We have an 03 Tahoe that the computer always says 14mpg average...no matter what...ever since we bought it. I am **** and write down the mileage every time I get gas. When...- k5blzt

Fan Speed Swith Backlight
This is my first post, but have been lurking and learning for the past few months. Our 03 Tahoe has burned out the light behind the fan speed toggle switch. It has the digital, dual zone climate controller and has become a pain to adjust at night. Anyone know how to get to that bulb? Hopefully... -

Who has the highest miles thread.
Just bought my wife an 03 LT with 148k on it last month. Runs great, but did have to put in a water pump and replace the right seal on the front axle last week. Looking at the dealer service records, it had the converters replaced, the guage cluster replaced and the steering shaft replaced last...- k5blzt
