    $1200 last year woth 190k on the clock. Put a new radiator, new brakes all around amnd some new shoes. Now a new paint job to maker her look pretty again :-)

    LOL yeah, i'm kinda in love with this thing, so i don't think that I'm gonna trade you. I'm actually gonna paint it next month once finals are over. I've already spoken with a glass shop around here. $125 per window. So, its not too bad.

    cool, well, i'm gonna get the ebay generic headlamps and later on I may to HID's. i had HID's in my scion tC for a year and they crapped out on me twice. They were supposed to be a "high quality" brand...but i'm sure they're just like everyone esles. HID's are all marketing IMHO, everyone...

    Remove ABS

    I wish i could just drop off my truck some where and have them: 1) remove the ABS 2) install hydroboost I'm pretty sure that would solve any and ALL braking issues with these trucks. Well, except stopping on ice LOL.

    Just bought a 99 Tahoe

    hey, is this the original paint color?? if not, whats the color code?? i'm painting my truck in a few weeks... Love the color and my has the horrid red interior (IMO) as well....thus i think a nice dark red/brown would look great on it.

    my abs kicks in when breaking at slow speeds on dry ground

    hey i've also heard that if you have oversized tires this can happen as well. Furthermore, have you tried unplugging the ABS all together?? its a clip thats on the abs pump that goes to the abs ecu.

    NICE! yeah, i know i'm gonna have to put a proportioning valve in there. how did you do it?? did you do a write up on it?? have any othe rpeople done this b4?? i really don't see a real advantage to having ABS anyway...i dunno, i mean i see a point with it, but brakes still work without it 2.

    Thanx guys.... I know THE-HOE says that he just removed the fuse/relays, but did you do this on a pre-1999 truck? On the pre-1999 trucks, our abs units are hydrolic. THe problem with them is that the proportioning valves are actually built into the unit itself. Thus, there could be a leak in...

    hmmm, i'm glad you've explained the hydroboost conversion. I honestly never really understood it completely. Does it effectively remove the brake booster from the equation?? Also, i thought if the brake booster goes bad, the brakes get super hard.....and NOT super spongy?? please correct...
