2016 Yukon Denali - Died over weekend
Hey Guys - Had to get my Yukon towed over the weekend. Here was the situation. Saturday morning, starts right up. Go to daughter's soccer game about 5 min away. There for about an hour. Every ~6500 miles for a rotate give or take. I’ll hsve to check with the dealership on the ball joints. I don’t exactly know how to do it but perhaps it would be worth learning. I think he is more referring to the life of the tires. Like how does this set last me 44% less tread life then my first set ? Would having an issue with your shocks really take that much off the tread. And we were dealing with the shock issue for some time. It was from right around 60k - 66k...- DenaliMan16

Yea exactly. Easy answer and probably just wants me to go away. And you may be right. That they didn’t actually check my alignment. Some people here are commenting that they don’t actual put it on a machine to check but rather it’s a visual. I just can’t see how that could be helpful in anyway...- DenaliMan16

They definitely didn’t align 750 miles ago they just “checked alignment”. I’m thinking about calling GM and I have another local shop that is highly recommended that I may bring it to and they will align it for $80 vs 130. At the Dealership now. Yea I didn’t expect much. He’s saying it probably all started when my shocks went bad back before 66k. That my tires most likely took a beating. Here are some pics. First one is my rear. Tread is low but no uneven wear and innner is fine. You can actually see and feel the tread. 2nd 3rd 4th pic are fronts. You can see the uneven wear. The inners are bald, no tread at all.- DenaliMan16

Mb1500 Same dealer. The first section you quoted was from the 66k service after shocks were replaced. The second section you quoted was from my 77k service 4 weeks ago. I’m guessing they recommending an alignment because they are recommending 4 new tires. But you’re right. I should pay them...- DenaliMan16

Oh man. Hmmm I actually don’t recall seeing a print out at 66k when they replaced my shocks. But they do have an alignment line item in there that says something like. “Alignment complete. Set back to factory settings” I assumed that meant an alignment was done. I’m guessing an alignment...- DenaliMan16
