What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I wear XL gloves. The screw on the interior of the actuator was a pain in the neck and was by far the worst part of the job

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It was the blend door actuator located on the far left side of the passenger footwell, to the right of the center console.. It was very easy - only took about 30 minutes. I sprung for a genuine GM replacement which was pricey, but hopefully will work for another decade or two... Amazon link...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Monday my battery left me stranded at the haircut place. Wouldn’t even start after a jump. Then, yesterday, my AC started going from cold to cool to warm and back. I did an HVAC actuator calibration, and it seemed to get worse. Apparently my 20 year old blend door actuator died during the...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It's been about 3 weeks, but I replaced my original throttle body assembly with an OEM/GM unit. No real reason, other than I have a bit of a lag from a standstill I thought might have been tied to a bad spot in the TPS after 20 years, but no change in throttle response or behavior. I'm really...

No oil pressure at start up, 2001 Tahoe

Usually when the oil pressure sensor fails, it goes all the way to zero, or pegs at max PSI. IMO, fluttering of the oil pressure gauge is either some sort of debris that is impeding the flow of oil from time to time, or it's your oil pressure gauge stepper motor that is on it's way out...

I haven't been keeping up with all your posts on this issue, but did you notice a difference when driving? Acceleration, throttle response, etc?

I was up there to get some refrigerant for my father-in-law‘s accord. I think the woman who owned the other truck was getting maybe wiper blades installed or something like that. She and I were both original owners which I thought was pretty cool!

I used the Cerakote brand headlight restoration kit on my taillights and I am very happy with the improvement!

I went Amber on the DRL LEDs because their white LEDs looked awful - I was disappointed in Sylvanias color temp selection (probably 6500 Kelvin when I was going for 3,000 ish). The ambers look great since it matches the turn signals.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Yesterday I replaced my burnt DRL sockets and installed amber Sylvania LED 4114 bulbs. The OEM replacements were $25 each on Amazon, and came with heat shrink connectors. Pro tip: use some silicone grease on the gasket before installing the new one. it was a VERY tight fit and the silicone...

Currently in the middle of replacing my driver side valve cover with the updated Dorman PCV design. Figured I would snap a picture of the internals before I put the new cover on. Edit to add: installed a catch can while I was at it.

Much respect. Differentials might as well operate on magic and unicorn tears as far as I’m concerned.
