Yeah mileage really has nothing to do with reliability on a road trip. If you have maintained it according to the owners manual and take care of issues when they arise instead of pushing things off till it becomes a more serious problem you’ll more than likely be fine. Should I take a 3000 miles road trip w/ 144k miles
We just did a 5500 mile cross country trip in ours with 190k on motor, 370k on the rest of the rig. I would not hesitate to do it again and again. I do all maintenance/ repairs so i know my rig in and out and trust it more than i would any other car, especially a rental. It’s really whatever...- BigDogYJ

SOLVED: Loose steering wheel play -- is this normal?? (see video)
Actually the lower shaft did resolve a rotational clunk feel (not to be confused with the intermediate shaft clunk - usually noticed over bumpy/rough roads), but this lower shaft unfortunately did NOT resolve my sloppy steering. 2003 yukon denali electrical woes - sporadic unlock via fob not working, heated seats question
any updates here? I have an 04 Yukon with same behavior. I put a new bottom element in the driver seat but no difference. I haven't tried to unplug the back element to isolate it. But passenger seat seems to be functional. Just curious if unplugging the element made a difference for you...- BigDogYJ

They are pricing it due to 3/4, 4x4 and 8.1 which is pretty rare. Then the 30k miles they are using as an ax use for charging $15k over what it probably should be priced at (IF it was maintained properly!). Update 5/2/21 - Bounce and Porpoising - Especially Towing

I had no idea
I’ve got an 04 Yukon with this same setup. It uses a Borg Warner BW4482 transfer case. It’s a full time transfer case with a low range and utilizes a planetary gear set. Unfortunately ours is making some howling noise so it will need some work eventually. But it’s been doing this for ~20k miles...
