My truck is a 2004, but my friends is a 2013.
On my truck I think there is only a light, unless it says on the screen which tire is low. I dont think my 2004 can tell me the PSI and which tire is low, I think just a general low pressure light will come on.
I was under the impression rotating tires does not effect the TPMS sensors but my friend found htis tool which implies its needed: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XVR85N7/ref=cm_sw_r_em_apa_XS57zbP1JGNZ3
Can someone clarify how this system works when related to tire rotation?
Thanks
It doesnt sound like its coming from the brakes, it sounds like its coming from under the middle of the car. it happens when i touch the brakes, i just lightly tap them and the noise starts, even if i dont even try to slow down. my friend says maybe its ABS system because it starts up over...
I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 4x4 5.3L and almost every day after it sits for the night i pull out of my parking spot, drive down the parking lot, and i always tap my breaks at the same spot and every day when i do this the first time oif the day it makes a weird noise coming from under my truck...
I ordered a new dash cluter since this seems to be a common issue with my year, hopefully it fixes it, worse case I have a nice new dash cluster with working lights. mine half the lights are dead or dying
well bad news, the BCM didnt fix the problem after all. After working great for over a week today the car started slowly like the battery was low and the guages stopped working again. I let the car charge the battery, then started it again at 12.5v but it didnt help. I also started the truck...
I ended up buying a new BCM from Amazon and sending it to Gm-flash.com who flashed it for me and so far no issue after installing the new BCM except that I have my airbag light on and it says service air bag. the GM-flash.com guy said this is because I didnt send him my old one and I didnt time...
Im probably going to get a new body control module and try that before i bring it to the dealer. I havent been able to find anyone with a tech2 tool and its going to cost about the same to get a new BCM and have it programmed than it will to go to the dealer to have a diagnostic. if that...
my friends brother in law who worked for GM is saying to do the following in this order and test after each:
replace the key (I dont think its the key but idk)
disconnect the after market radio
disconnect the remote start and remote start bypass module
disconnect any other after market...
original afaik, looks original. not loose. thing is, its not just the instruments, its also the radio not turning on randomly for the first minute of run time. also something killed the battery. also the garbled text on the screen. also the security system killing the system the first time...
