I had this happen to me when I replaced the booster. The issue was that the new booster did not have the spacer that goes between the booster and the firewall and in my haste did not notice. Had to take it back off and get a replacement and made sure it had the spacer. Fixed the issue.
I had this happen to me. I had to replace the booster and did not pay attention to the fact that the "new" one did not have the spacer on the back---where it attaches to the firewall. Once I figured this out and got a replacement the issue was resolved.
