    2016 Yukon XL Transmission Failure

Gotcha, thanks. It has the tow package so it has a cooler from the factory. Are you talking about an additional cooler? It gets real hot when going slow on trails, as in 4Lo driving. But I've also been on a paved road in 55 degree temps but with steep grades and it still got into the 250's.

    2016 Yukon XL Transmission Failure

2016 Yukon XL, 5.3L, 4x4, 6 speed transmission, 120k miles and dealer “rebuilt” the transmission at 50k miles. Transmission started doing weird things like RPMs jumping all over the place, then stopped shifting, then made a noise kind of hard to describe, like loud whining. I haven’t had it...

Yes. I had a 2001 Tahoe with torsion bars turned up and the tires fit fine.

    Roof Top Tent install

I have my tent mounted to a Rhino Rack platform roof rack with Backbone, which mounts to the factory rails.

    Anyone here off-road their Yukon?

It takes off a few inches and makes a big difference.

    Anyone here off-road their Yukon?

115,000 miles and 34" tires and still good (knock on wood!!) But I don't get on the throttle in tight spots or when I'm getting stuck. That would be a quick way to break something.

    Anyone here off-road their Yukon?

Thank you. 18x9 Fuel Coverts, I believe they are +1mm offset, 285/70R18 (34x11.5) Nitto Ridge Grapplers, and either 1.5" or 2" strut spacer in the front, I can't remember. Had to trim the inner fender liner in the front a bit and the front air dam. I've gone a lot of places most people would...

    Anyone here off-road their Yukon?

When I last did it, there was a Jeep behind me and when we got to the top, he walked over and said "Your juevos must be so big, I can't believe they fit in your rig! Coming up here in a Suburban!"

Lots of amazing places you can explore on graded dirt roads or even not-so-graded roads in 2WD. Good tires and airing down make a big difference. If it gets really rocky or off-camber, you'll want/need 4LO.

    3.0 vs 6.2

:D Not the number one criterion but a big consideration. 16 MPG with the 6.2? Sounds incredible! Double what the truck gets... lol

    3.0 vs 6.2

Maybe the question I should’ve asked is how does the 3.0 compare to the 5.3. She’s had the 5.3 and 6.2 and didn’t care for the 5.3, likes the peppiness of the 6.2. Currently in a TRX which has plenty of get up and go which she enjoys. While neither the 3.0 or 6.2 will match the TRX, she doesn’t...

    3.0 vs 6.2

Sounds like the 3.0 is the winner... now only if I can convince my wife.

    What deals are you getting

When did you deal with Chris? I called the number on the card but no answer. I just looked at their website but don't see him listed.
