Yet another what tire to get thread

I am new to this forum but have been lurking awhile now. I have done a bunch of reading on the pros and cons of different tire sizes.

I have a 97 Suburban 4x4, and 265/75r16 tires. Now I know the 285/75/16 will fit but what I want to know is will it rub off road? I bought this truck specifically to take to Baja and don't want a bunch of fender damage.

it should not assuming the ride height measurements are correct.

with stock suspension ive never had wheels rub unless i went like 3 or 4 sizes up from factory

They will scuff the upper part of the fender well but on stock rims you will be ok I think. I had a 305/60/16 and it rubbed a little on the edge of the fender flare but just a little. Hard to see in the dark picture but this was it.

285/75 should be fine but only if you're using the factory wheels or wheels with factory width and offset (backspacing)
