I bought this two piece intake for my 2004 5.3L. Now there are some very minor outside differences but it will work and supposedly give you more power. Here’s some pictures of mine. I’m nowhere near complete but I was so excited I thought I’d show everyone. You can pick up this intake on eBay for $139 also it’s a three bolt throttle body not a four

I forgot to mention that this intake splits apart by unbolting it and this allows you to remove all the casting flaws and improve flow in the intake runners. I’ve been told that once ported it flows as good or better than the fast lsx intake which cost around $800. It also looks a lot better than the ugly truck intake.

Sure haven't.
Oh ok. Does anyone have any flow numbers or dyno numbers on this Dorman truck intake? It looks almost exactly like the fast lsx intake and the runners are taller than the truck intake. Based on that I would have to think it would help in the higher rpm range.

I finished my porting on the ports and I noticed a big blockage right behind the throttle body port that I also removed. I also replaced the allen head screws that allow you to split apart the intake with some standard 1/4” hex bolt heads. It was a little difficult to put the intake back together because I had to line up all the runners at the same time and this proved to be a little harder than expected.
