Transmission problems 99 tahoe

Okay so I was driving home today and my transmission started slipping and when i got home o let it sit for about 4 hours. Now it slips going into second and wont go into 3rd... someone please help

check the tranny fluid level

I did. its not burn or to dirty

if its not shifting into 3rd wich also means 4th gear doesnt work either
that usually means the clutches are worn out and the tranny needs to come apart
check all the gears see if anyother gears slip or act strange like reverse

Reverse dosent act funny at all
