Hey guys - I’m getting ready to buy a set of 24” KMC KM651 in gloss black for my 2018 Tahoe. I’m searching for tires and I’ve read through the threads on this forum about the pros and cons of each, but the challenge I have is that the KMC slides are 9.5” wide vs most other 24s that are 10” wide.
There’s much less of a selection for 24” 305/35r24 with an “approved rim width” of 9.5” which leads me to my question (please excuse my ignorance): can a tire be mounted on a rim if the rim is not within the approved width range? If it can, does it affect performance? Wear? Warranty?
