Screw in fairly new 24" tire

Another one to roll with the repaired 24. Had a screw in mine and still going strong after the repair.

Wow! That looks like sabotage. You got that from driving? Must've been from nail gun strip.

for $15, i would have hoped they patched it.

is there a discount tire (DT) near you? if so, try them next time.
i have always seen them patch tires.



i like DT b/c they are all around me where i have to drive.
since i bought tires from them, patches are free when you purchase road hazard.
food for thought

There's a few DT's in my area, but the one nearest me didn't have the right "clamps" for 24" wheels, according to the guy on the phone. I needed it repaired ASAP and it was around 5pm when I saw the screw in my tire and DT and my auto repair shop closes at 6pm. The guy at DT said he could get a "clamp" from his warehouse in a day and a half (not sure why so long). That's why I went with my auto repair shop.

24's are fairly common around here, so the shops that i hav ebeen to had proper equipment already.
i have 22's b/c i prefer to still have some sidewall for the crap roads here.

I've used a patch with a plug and had zero issues. I've also used plugs on drag radials and raced on them for a couple track passes with no issues.

You should learn to plug a tire if you don't want to carry a spare. Maybe that shop will you show you how.

I don't think anyone will stop you if you want to replace a tire every time you drive over a screw.

The plugs last if you there fresh and you do it right. Think of it like a glued joint in woodworking maybe?

$3 plug.

$300 tire. eeeeek.
