I made a different post about sputtering, I think I might have not described that correctly.

My RPMs bounce slightly and I can hear a slight engine rev while going down the highway

I read somewhere to try driving it in manual and see if it does it, well I ran down the highway in m5 then m6, and didn't do it. But once I shifted it to auto it started.

From what I read it is normal and nothing can be done, is this true?

Sorry forgot to add
2016 suburban 5.3 with 6 speed

What is this , and why is it doing it

Possible you are noticing switch from V8 to V4 mode...DOD

Try using the mileage screen on the display and see it you can see the switch

I'd get checked out at the dealer for:

PIP5504E: Diagnosing Fishbite Chuggle Misfire Feeling Or Shudder Vibration, With A Light Tip In

If that condition is left untreated it can result in torque converter failure. Failure of the converter clutch can cause issues with the pump, valve body and everything else in the trans as well.
