Rear door speaker upgrade

Has anyone upgraded the rear door speakers and run new speaker wire? I noticed the wire loom is connected with plugs from the b post to the door unlike the front hollow tube. Might just tap in to the wire harness inside the vehicle and save the headache.

I will be swapping out my rear speaker soon and I'm definitely running new speaker I will post some pics when I finished also I ran new wire to the front speakers wasn't too bad but the rear are a pita.
