P0410 code but no belt driven pump.

Have a 1998 Tahoe 5.7L 4WD auto California truck. I'm 58 years old and been a mechanic 45 plus years so I'm no dummy on Cars,trucks,tractors etc. It says that there's a problem with the Air Injection system but my truck does not have a belt driven pump but there is an 12 volt pump located where the 2nd battery would be. Always wondered what it was because I've wanted to put a 2nd battery in but no room. So I've asked lots of people looked at many Tahoes, Yukons Suburbans etc. And read many manuals and never saw another unit like mine has. Would really appreciate any help anyone could give me cause I'm nearing my wits end lol. Thanks for reading my post. Take care and keep the greasy side down. Bigfootdude1

Code P0410, Air Injection System failure?

Anyone else have the check engine light for the P0410 code which is the air injection system? Im hearing its basically just on california models only, just for the emissions? anyone have this problem before? Ive gotta have it fixed soon to pass smog, thanks!
