Newbie question

Before any on gets all worked up, I'm just asking because I am new to the forum. Am I doing something wrong or is this forum jammed with advertising that keeps popping up over and over again? I cannot scroll a single page without it popping up along with the highlighted words that are links. And of course it's major easy to "accidentally" click on these links that you try to close several times before they finally actually close. Experiencing this on multiple devices too.

Not sure if ad blocker would take care of some of them, but if you become a supporting member, most all of those go away...
