I just put new front pads and rotors on my 03 Yukon XL this past weekend. Today I noticed, for the first time, a rubbing noise coming from the front left pad. Is this normal for new pads/rotors, or was something screwed up on the install? Thanks!

what are the condition of the rotors? Could be a rust ridge or maybe the backing plate is rubbing.

The noise is mild, I guess. It's not rubbing to the point of making my front wheel turn. I rolled down the windows while driving slow down the sidestreet by my house and I can hear squeaking coming from the front tire.

By "turn", I mean making my car pull to the left from the friction of it.

that sounds normal actually. Just drive it for a bit, it should go away

Thanks! I've read the same thing on other automotive forums. The general consensus seems that it could take up to 1,000 miles for it to go away.
