Nbs Escalade brake light conversion help

So I got a brake assembly of an 03 esky. So I wanted to take the glass and the light but the guy wanted 300.00 for everything so I just took the light and the panel it sits on. 25.00$ so my question will double sided 3m tape hold it on and just hook it up and I'm good to go or is there any modifying of my glass to make it work. Also I hooked up just the light to my connection and it did not turn on when I applied brake. Any help would be appreciated

Did your old third brake light work ? Dude I hate to say it but I think the light don't work .... Sorry to say. When I plugged mine in it worked right away.

Ok looks like I'll be ordering a new light or just see if it comes apart and see if the led's are replaceable

So I put on the vent corner caps. Pain to take out the old ones though! At the top corner the is a gap looks as if it was not seated correctly is this normal. Is it like this because of the third brake light on the escalades they line up?

On the side mine stick out a bit but there is no gap. Can't say about the back cause I used the caddy glass. If you need pics I can dig some up

It sticks up like that because the caddy glass has plastic that sticks up above the glass.

Ok so now I need to look for the glass so I can use the third brake light I have I'll try and get one with no trim around it

That looks good and that glass is off an escalade right. It's not your original glass?
