My old Z71...
New Z71..
I sold my 02 F150 with the intentions on downsizing; sell F150, buy newer truck, then sell my Tahoe. I knew I wanted an either an 05-06 or 07+ Silverado crew cab short bed. Well after researching (and experiencing first hand on an "extended test drive") I didn't want the associated issues with the 07+ active fuel managment issues.. So the search began for 05-07 classic truck. I really preferred the look of the 06 front end. After numerous dead ends I finally found this 06. It didn't have all the options I wanted (heated leather, sunroof).. But I got it for about 4,000 under book value, so I figured it would be an alright compromise. It does have the color matched fender flares and bumper pad at least. Z71 package, Bose audio, electronic climate, and full length center console. Someone also went nuts with the GM accessories catalog.. Adding GM 20"s, GM "tubular assist" steps, and GM mud flaps. Only has 96k on the ticker. First things I want to do are replace the 20s that are one it, and probably swap them out for the Texas 20s on my Tahoe, and find an Escalade/Denali gauge cluster so I can have a trans temp gauge. Unfortunately this means I must sell my trusty Tahoe.
