I have 1 96 hoe with a 5.7L engine. When I bought the truck it had an aftermarket K&N Air Intake installed. There is a tube that runs from the valve cover where the PCV valve would be located to the intake. However, there is no PCV valve. Is this normal for this type of intake?

unknown at this time.
the pcv should be located in the grommet on the left valve cover that hoses over toward the throttle body area. On the right valve cover there should be a hose that runs to the CAI duct. The engine draws fresh air suction on that right hose pickups gases along the way and goes thru the pcv to be burned in the engine. Are you missing any of that routing?
