That one sold. Next on the list I am hoping the first buyer backs out. It's more my price range. Asking $2500 for a 2002 LS model. 147,000 miles.

That's a much better price, but I can clearly see that its full of rust. That's a LOT of rust. Inspect it very carefully. If it has that much rust on the rear quarter panels, then I know that the brake lines and other critical parts will be full of rust.

Rust is pretty much unavoidable in this area. I don't mind working on body rust but I'll definitely check underneath

Hell, you need to come buy it be down here in Louisiana or Texas then. The market is flooded with them so they are cheap. And there's no such thing as rust down here because it only snows once every 5-8 years down here.

Anything you drive has one issue or another. the 04-09 don't have anymore transmission issues than earlier years.
Yea to be honest all our trannys from the factory suck, all years. But 03+ has better options and more aftermarket accessories. But a little more technical to work on with electrical system.
Not sure why he said 04-09 years in specific

That's what I would do. Can't do that up here in Alaska cause shipping starts at 1500+ , just from Seattle. Can drive it thru Canada for about half the cost, with hopes you don't break down. Just don't want to buy an older vehicle and drive it that far right away without doing a personal inspection and my own maintenance check.

Hell, buy both and tow one back with a tow dolly. LOL When you get back to Michigan, sell one for $3,000 and that will pay for your other one. You will basically end up with a free Suburban (minus the cost of fuel and a trailer rental to get them up to Michigan). Look on Craigslist Dallas as well, there's a shit ton of them over there. Or I could go drive the two in that ad, that's about 30-40 minutes from me. If they are worth what they are asking, wire me the money and I'll grab em for you. Fly down here and get ready for a road trip home. I'd bring a buddy though, that's a long way to be driving alone.
