Light Switch Problem

I changed the switch last year. Now it's acting up again. Headlights stay on daytime when switched on. Sometimes I can smack the dash or pull the bezel away from the dash to make it work. Sometimes it shorting on/off which causes them to flicker. I know it has to be a short or something. I have taken the bezel off many times and see nothing touching metal. Any ideas?

Sounds like the contacts in the wiring connector- loose or corroded maybe.
