I want to change all the interior lighting to LED ones. But what kind of LEDs should I use? What kind of connections do these bulbs have?

There are also plenty of posts listing what kind of LED's to purchase to replace your current bulbs. Just search around, or go to sylvania and search your truck.

Footwell lights(if you have them) are 194's, door panel lights are 194's also, domes are 42 mm festoon, map lights are also 194's, for vanity light's I used 31 mm festoon, window and lock switches will need 5mm leds soldered in, 2000-2002 gauge cluster will need 194's and 2003-2006 gauges will need leds soldered in. I've noticed cheap ebay smd's for domes, doors, footwells, vanity, map lights, and 2000-2002 gauges work well and last. The round 5mm leds are best from vleds or superbrightleds. And use links in previous post for reference.
42mm festoon- http://www.ebay.com/itm/6-SMD-5050-...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item2c5f6e5204
194's- http://www.ebay.com/itm/T10-W5W-194...478?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4cfb50edd6
31mm festoon- http://www.ebay.com/itm/31mm-SUPER-...Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item336d8b613d
These are just the ones I used and are only suggestions. There are so many other options out there.

i just put in over 70 leds this weekend! all 5mm blue. foot well, ac control, all window switches, 4x4 selector, rear wiper, headlight switch, side mirror bottom lights, dome curtosy(spelling fail) front and back, bottom door markers. like i said all 5mm that cost about .06 a pc and resistors .04 a pc and shrink tube .50 a ft. save money and solder your own bulbs. i made my own 194 bases with common terminal connectors, hot glue and shrink tube.
i will post some pics from my phone soon

Thanks.
But should I go for blue LEDs or white ones?

If you are doing the backlighting on the guages, AC panel or other switches then I would do blue.
If you are talking about the actual lighting, like the dome lights, map lights, footwell lights, etc. then I would go with cool white.
