I'm now looking at the Cooper AT3 4S in the 265/70r18 size. Seems to have better (more) tread depth than the 265/60r18 version. Diameter is 32.6" and width is 10.7", compared to 31.5" and 10.7" for the 265/65r18 tire. Any issues with rubbing etc? Anything else I should consider?

Yeah...

Sloppy steering
Excessive body roll
Delayed turn initiation
Inaccurate speedometer reading
Might want to double check your ball joint clearance.

Wish I could offer some insight into the size question, but I’m leaning toward the same at3 4s for my ‘16 Suburban. Seems like a good balance of capabilities and design.

I just got the AT3 4S 265/65/R18's put on today! They are plenty big and they ride so much smoother than the OEM tires. Will test out in the rain and mud this weekend, and snow soon!

First update: tried the AT3 4S on very slick rainy roads today that are about 20% grade in some spots. Fantastic traction both in acceleration and braking. The AT3 4S seems to have none of the wet traction issues that many AT tires have.

Any significant noise increase over stock tires?

I was wondering this same question a couple weeks ago.
How much taller and/or wider can we safely go without a lift and not rubbing anything?

Comparing those sizes 265/65R18 (stock) vs 265/70R18...going from a 65 to 70 with the same width end up being about 3% taller:
265/65R18 = 31.6" diameter https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/265-65R18.htm
265/70R18 = 32.6" diameter https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/265-70R18.htm

What about a bit wider too? This would be 5% larger taller than stock. It's also 10.4" vs 10.8" so this would be a bit wider:
275/70R18 = 33.2" diameter https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/275-70R18.htm

I understand it would make the odometer off by the same amount, I can live with that. I would guess it would hurt gas mileage a bit.
