Illuminated liftgate refund

Does anyone know how to pursue this refund? I ordered one through my dealer when I picked up my Yukon but based on this, I don’t expect to receive it. I suppose I can check with my dealer.

Refund will come from GM directly. You can check with your dealer, but I'm 99.9% certain they will have never heard of it.

Similar to how GM sent out letters when missing option retrofits became available over the last couple of years, you'll likely get a letter in the mail from GM which also includes a check or prepaid Visa card.

Is there somewhere that this info can be found directly from GM?

I purchased some accessories including the liftgate sill and they were rolled into the financing. I’m worried because it was done that way it will get lost.

Ahh - if it was purchased after the fact then you'll want to follow-up with the dealer. The issue in the article is based on it being part of a factory order.
