help with shocks

hey guys ive been wanting to change the shocks on my 04 LT and i wanna know what shocks can give it the cleanest and smoothest ride...also my suspension for some reason seems to make a clunking noise when i hit a bump in the back and it sounds and feels pretty rough. Any idea of what that might be?

Bilsteins, clunking could be anything, maybe have a shop do a quick inspection if you cant find anything.

great i found some at a good price, but should i get the oil shocks or gas shocks??

mines just regular gas filled.

i think i've felt that clunk that you're describing in the back. i'm not sure if it's when those big ass shocks are fully extended possibly. i've only heard it going over speed bumps.
