Going to change the fuel pump soon

Is their any way to eliminate the quick connect fittings on the fuel pump? It made things quicker to assemble at the factory but I don't trust those quick connects. Could I use regular fuel line and some band clamps or would the pressure be too high and blow the hose right off?

If I can't mod anything my next question is what type/size tools do i need to remove the lines? I don't own any fuel line disconnect tools.

just continue to use the fitting the truck was built with and you can get same fuel line tools for cheap at a local parts store.

They can be changed easily. I put some double jacketed lines on when I did mine, double clamped it, no leaks, no issues. I also used yellow line so if you are paying attention you can see it when approaching the truck.
