that would be more like muffled pulses as it sees 4 pressure spike very close together. ticks from the exhaust are more from the individual manifold runner to head.

So, mine still ticks like crazy. Especially when I get on it. And I can here it in the cab if I don't have my stereo on. I'm thinking it might be lifters or rocker arms. Are the rocker arms able to be tightened?

What is your oil pressure? Got to have some details. Newest thing in your post is that you hear it now when you "get on it." That was never said before. Is that new or always been there? I would guess the lifters at this point because the piston slap goes away after warmed a little. What engine again and year of rig? I started typing before I thought to ask this so if you posted that I will lose this if back up to find. I am guessing is an 07. If your mileage is still low like was in earlier post than may not be lifters. Again, lets hear some finite details.
