Hi everyone!
I'm looking for a list of codes and suffix (the ones stamped on the front pass side of the block) of vortec engines, can't find anything around.
What should be stamped on a 1998 thaoe 4wd 4dr LT with L31 vortec engine?
I found ether the engine id number and the decoding chart for my 88 camaro but still nothing for the tahoe..
Thank you in advance!

Thank you for your reply!
I'm wondering to know if is there something like i found stamped on my 88 camaro:
on the front passanger side of the block:

ENGINE CODE
V 01 07 CUA

V = engine plant : Flint engine plant (Michigan)
01 = month: january
07 = day: 07
CUA = suffix : engine year 1988,cid 350, hp 225, TPI, L98, a/t

and the PARTIAL VIN
1 J L 142***

1 = Chevy
J = 1988
L = Van Nuys – Los Angeles (CA)
142*** : production number

These codes state that the engine is the original one, is there anything like that in our trucks?
