Do I have DoD/AFM?

I have a 2011 Chevy Tahoe Z71. When I went to the instant economy, it would say v4 everything I let off the gas. If I recall, 2011 through 2014 don't have the afm, but does mine have it?

Which engine do you have? 8th digit of the VIN will tell you..

Yours would have AFM and VVT. The earlier 6.2s didn't have it, but the later ones did. So I can't figure out what you might be confused about with the 2011 through 2014 thing.

100%, yours has AFM.

Being that instant economy display is showing up on your screen, it’s got AFM. All of GM’s 5.3L got AFM in the 07-14 / NNBS / Gen 4 / full size SUV.

There’s enough equity in these trucks to stuff a 2-$4k preloved 11-14 2500 / 3500 6.0L Non AFM or 6.2L 07/08/09 Bon AFM Yuke Denali, Esky or 07-13 Sierra (Truck) Denali.

Finding one is a PITA when you need it. They seem to find you when you’re not looking though.

Shift into Manual Gear 5, and it turns it off.

All 5.3L from 2007 to now has AFM.
