I have a 00 OBS z71 Tahoe the lights are out on the fog,rear hatch switch on the dash . My question was are the bulbs serviceable on these or does the switch have to be replaced ? Did a search with no real luck both switches are working properly just out bulbs . Thanks in advance .

I'm wondering the same about the rear hatch button on mine.

I've seen where people put LED bulbs in the switches, so it stands to reason that the regular incandescent could be replaced. I haven't opened one up, but would guess it's just removing and reheating the solder for a new bulb.

If it's just sodering a new bulb in that's not bad at all

No soldering necessary... twistloc bulb holders for the dashboard lights.

Dashboard is held in with 4 screws and then just pulls straight out.
Only bulbs not recommended for LED replacement are the sensor bulbs (air bag, CEL, etc) - heard that the resistance change can cause issues.
