Change oil flashing at start up

OK I might be having a blonde moment. Is it normal for the change engine oil light to flash at start up. I know when oil change is due it will come on for about 15 seconds at start up but Dont remember it flashing five times then going out.

Going off of memory that seems normal.

Change your oil, when that's done, turn the ignition to run and pump the gas pedal 3 or 5 (don't remember which) times to the floor at the approximate frequency of the door chime. Turn the ignition off then start the engine to verify it's reset
