Broken Intake Manifold Vacuum Fitting Cover

Replacing the intake manifold gasket a while back, I broke off this plastic cover that was blocking an unused vacuum fitting on the manifold of my 02 tahoe 5.3L. It was enough of a leak to bring my fuel trim up to about 15%. I put a rubber cover I bought at Autozone on it, and that sealed it of pretty well for a while, but has since fallen off, probably just from changing weather conditions.

Anyone got a better recommendation for a more permanent fix? Maybe fill it with Epoxy?

I used a 2-part epoxy to secure a plastic vent fitting to a metal gas tank to maintain emissions equipment (EVAP) in a custom fuel tank setup. It held and was air tight despite the fuel vapors, weight of fuel sloshing around and possibly flexing the tank, etc. I'd feel pretty confident using the same stuff on an intake manifold. I believe this was the stuff:
