Needing brakes and rotor all the way around. Got over 166k and over 70k on current brakes.

What price would I be looking at from a reputable shop for this job?

Thanks

I had my rears done at a place called "Just Brakes". My shoes were good but the drums were toast. They charge closed to double what a parts store does, so the entire job was $250. I did my own fronts for $160 including buying the tool for the caliper bolts.

Do you mean pads and rotors? Our trucks don't have drums and shoes (unless you're talking about the parking brake).

moosehead, is there a reason you wouldn't want to do this yourself and save some money?

Yes pads and rotors. Not sure if I can turn the rotors so I want a price with replacing them also.

Price the parts then add $70.00-80.00 per hour. Most places charge 1.5-2hour I bet

If 1/2 ton suburban

1.6 hours front i
1.6 hours rear

If 3/4 ton suburban

1.9 hours front
1.9 hours rear

That is to install new rotors and replace the pads only.

Do it yourself, its a simple job took me 2.5 hours to do all 4 corners - I just ordered a complete kit from powerstop.

Its an excellent kit with every part needed

My stopping power is noticeably much better.

Oh and if your truck still has the dumb torx head bolts on the front calipers order new bolts(you need 2 sets, 1 set per side up front) like this:

If you're close to me I can help.

Only took 1 pic when I did mine - I am very happy with the brakes
