If you notice at the bottom of mine, the space is open for the hinges.

Het Big tap I read your tread and you said you had no problem with these lights?
I have barn yard doors also and going to order them tonight off ebay. Just want to know was there any i mean any mods needed? It seems like they will work seein how i ordered the wrong set last week! lol but like u said the cleareance for the hinge has to be there and the set that you have shown looks llike there is clearance. can you send some pics thanks in advance

I have barn doors on my suburban...they were a must have! Barn doors are moar BOSS than liftgates :D

I'm not sure if you've found any lights yet, but I have been researching the same problem, and I seen some LED tail lights on ebay that look like they will work... The guys that gave their input above were real helpful :)
