I usually run my truck, '04 Z71, in Auto 4WD. I don't know if this is good or not but it helps when the roads are slick.

I was wondering if there is a way to wire an LED somewhere that tells me when the transfer case has engaged the front wheels.

Being that voltage is applied to the motor to engage the front wheels, sounds like you would just have to tap into the + line to the motor(for the + on the led/bulb).
Then just figure out where you want to mount the indicator.

Interesting. I use Auto some times and would like to do this if you figure something out. Let us know if and when you do!

From the attached diagram it looks like I can tap into the the Transfer Case Shift Control Module.

Looks like pin A2 on connector C2 is the output that controls the Front Axle Actuator.

I'll have to get to the module and see what the meter says.

On a side note anyone have problems posting pictures from supermotors.net?
Mine always just show a broken image.
