AC Cooling in extreme temperatures

I took these photo's today as you will see outside temp was 88 degrees.
You will notice I use a robinair gauge, normal range of 38 to 42 degrees.
Temperature @ center outlet around 39. This year Tahoe has a clutch fan
without an accessory cooling fan, as the temperature rises the clutch fan engages and roars till
temperature falls. Y

Your clutch fan without the accessory fan is working well. Your Tahoe is cooling better then my 2016.

You gotta understand these animals are HUGE, a lot of roof to heat the interior. In traffic as the outside gets above 90-95, it will ease up to 41-42 degrees. Once it cools down, I run the front fan on #2.......and the rear fan next to high, works well, doing the front door tint really helped.

Yep. That's why @RED TAHOE LS said that once it cools down, meaning the fan was on high speed to help get the hot air out and then he drops fan to #2 and that will show a lower temp reading than when on high fan speed. Check it with any thermometer. Leave it on high fan and the temp will be higher. Not a huge amount but it will be higher than on the lower fan speed with less turbulence.

Nice air temps! Your A/C seems to be working great. Among other benefits, it'd be even better and more consistent with an electric fan. Not that you're gonna deviate from stock with this rig.

My gauge was from O'Reilly's and is usually in the low 40s but sometimes in the 60s. It has some actuators that need changing still. I hope mine still runs as good as yours when she's that age!

Thanks, you will find temperature gauges WILL be different. As it starts to cool drop your blower speed, it gives the evaporator time to cool.
